New York New York so good they named it twice…

Where do you start when deciding where and what to eat whilst in NYC for only 7 days. The list of eateries is endless so my advice is choose wisely but dont overthink it. A few highlights from our recent visit to the city that never sleeps. First up we have Nachos supreme. The American Beer Hall and Arcade is a vast open spaced German style establishment right in tbe heart of the city just off Times Square. Believe it or not this was a starter and certainly hit the spot. Next up we have the Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog in the financial district. Had spent hours walking round the southern tip of Manhattan so was desperate for a refreshment stop when the doors opened at 12 noon. Three burger sliders topped with quail eggs served with 2 local ales from tbe nearby Brooklyn Brewery. A taste sensation, cant describe how good these were, a perfect little bar snack. No trip to the big city would be complete without a slice of NYC pizza. Now the pics dont do it justice But trust me when I say this is simply the best pizza you will ever taste. Bleecker Street pizza rightly holds the title of tripadvisors no 1 NYC pizza stop and only a few dollars a slice. A delightfully crispy crust with a variety of toppings sold by the slice, you can also buy the full pie but frankly its bigger than a dusbin lid and takes a braver man than me to tackle. A touch of Hollywood hits you when you enter Katzs deli, the famous scene from Harry Met Sally was filmed here. One word . Meat. Pastrami on rye is my choice ill let the picture do the talking. My final choice in this review is dedicated to my favourite cuisine, Mexican. Now didnt want to make a wrong choice here so used tripadvisor again to help me decide and boy did they get it right. Located in the bustling food hall of Chelsea Market in the upper west side this taco stand is so popular the queues are always 20 deep Simple food prepared right in front of you these chicken and beef tacos are well worth the wait. Delicatley spicy morsels of meat served with freshly made guacomole and salsa, outstanding for only a few dollars. NYC…a food lovers paradise with endless options to suit all budgets. A city that must be visited at least once in your life and will certainly be getting another one from me. Cheers , Mick
