So lucky to have this delightful Italian restaurant on our doorstep in Wickersley just outside Rotherham. A good quality menu including the usual suspects pizza, pasta, grills etc backed up by a delightful drinks menu. A small, friendly but professional team provide relaxed vibes backed up by a sterling service. Visited this establishment previously so wise to the portion sizes so decided on the anipasto misto sharer to start
A generous portion of cured meats, Italian cheeses, bruschetta, olives and pizza bread served on a bed of rocket and sweet cherry tomatoes certainly got the taste buds tingling.
Marvelous mains included filet steak, farfalle salmone, lasagna but decided on the Linguini Sorrento
Creamy linguine pasta in a white wine and tomato sauce and a seafood mix of prawns, mussels and clams all topped of with the juiciest king prawn and crispy pan fried sea bass fillet. Was I in Rotherham or Sorrento????
The belt buckle was bulging by this time but couldn’t resist one of the delightful desserts so opted for the light and zingy lemon cheesecake served with ice cream.
Finished the meal off perfectly. All washed down with a couple of pints of creamy Caffreys ale and a berry bursting blueberry gin and tonic.
W Italian have brought a touch of the Amalfi coast to this small corner of Rotherham with their winning formula of fantastic foodie offerings, fabulous friendly staff and relaxed cosy environment.
