La Boca Doncaster restaurant review.

Another great addition to Doncasters food scene, an Argentine steakhouse that delivers in every way. As a town we take a lot of criticism in Doncaster but the place is fast becoming a food lovers paradise with this conversion ideally located at the end of Netherhall road opposite the Rum Rooms and The New Wool MarketHas a good reputation already in its first 4 weeks of trading so highly recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Greeted with a friendly smile and was quickly seated, nothing was too much trouble for our young waitress who promptly took our drinks order, a pint of Brooklyn Brewey lager , a dry hopped beer proving that American beers are now a force to be reckoned with.Typical steakhouse menu but it was the plato de la Boca that caught my eye. An Argentinean mixed grill consisting of a 6oz sirloin, lamb chop, chicken skewer, chicken wings, 2 Argentinean sausages, grilled peppers and onions, rustic chips served with chimichurri and salsa. The succulent steak was cooked to perfection, the sausages meaty and delicately spiced but the chicken was the star of the show, marinated and grilled leaving you with a delightful taste of the best chicken you will ever have. Served with a side of blue cheese sauce. The Mrs opted for the 8oz Sirloin, again served with grilled peppers and onions, rustic chips and chimichurri. The medium steak was a touch on the rare side so would bear this in mind when ordering. Again grilled to perfection and highly enjoyable. Not for the faint hearted portion size wise so would choose carefully if going for a starter as well. A fabulous experience all round from the attentive staff to the perfectly grilled food. Doncaster really is dragging itself away from its poor reputation and quickly becoming one of the top foodie destinations in Yorkshire.
