With the pub industry on its knees its so refreshing to see independant bars like this beauty popping up in our local villages.
A small tap bar in Branton just on the outskirts of Doncaster has recently been refurbed with a relaxed, rustic decor with bare brickwork and timber cladding. The bar itself is sat upon a cage of rocks, quirky but just adds to the atmosphere giving you a log cabin, outdoorsy, alpine kinda vibe.
The menu is small but adequate offering delights such as the Dukkah dipper, nachos and Locals ale rarebit. All the ingredients are sourced locally and transformed into tasty treats by the owner.
We opted for the soft street tacos and chilli with tortillas. Obviously homemade with a passion that comes through in the quality of the fayre on offer. The mango and habanero sauce is deliciously delightful and compliments the tacos perfectly, chef should be proud of her efforts.
Finished off with a ‘cookie monster ‘ and ice cream all for under 20 quid!!
A fantastic experience overall from the extensive beer selection, the super friendly polite staff to the super tasty homemade items on the menu this joint is sure to be a winner. Please support your local independant businesses, so much effort and passion goes into running a venture like this, deserves to be a success.
